Hey, friends! Welcome to the journey to healthy living.
This is the place to be at home with your weaknesses, struggles, and addictions – a place to find comfort in the truth that you are not alone in this daily challenge. I’ve been there, and am still there with you. Together, we’ll learn the secret to living a content, healthy life, free of food addiction and crazy dieting.
Really, there is a solution. There is a path you can take to healthy living. Don’t look for the quick steps that require nothing of you. This will be hard work. But oh, friend, how it will be work every choice. Every step. Every bite.
Success starts with you. Your resolve to confront yourself about the secret habits and self talk that keep you from being the best you can be.
In this journey together, we’ll understand the need for healthy eating, but also realize that any balanced diet will work if we commit to it.
- If we break the habits of food addiction.
- If we stop manipulating and “cheating” our way through any and every diet plan, only to wonder why we’ve failed once again.
- If we realize that any plan only works long term when we’ve changed our method, our resolve, and our daily choices.
Weight loss is a terribly personal issue – and one that seems to “step on our emotional toes” more than any other area of life. Like me, I bet you could teach every class on every weight loss plan, because together, we’ve done them all. At least once. Sometimes twice. Gaining and losing that same twenty pounds (or five, or fifty, or one hundred) over and over again. Up and down, success and failure.
Well, friends, if we truly leave our DIET in the dust (more on that in future posts) then we will understand that our old approach is obviously getting us nowhere – and no matter what eating plan we follow, our DIET has to go. Time for a change. Time for solid, slow and steady, lifelong results. Time for contentment and health to win out over the guilt of not being a certain weight, or wearing a teeny sized pair of jeans.
C’mon – join me as I share what I’ve been through. Find your own strength, grab ahold of your new life, and never look back at the guilt and shame of the past!
